What are some good music software programs..?

I’m looking for programs like GarageBand, or Band-in-a-Box…programs similar to those. I would get GarageBand, except I don’t have a Mac and am not planning on getting one. I might get Band-in-a-Box, but I just want to know all my choices before deciding. So could you just please let me know of computer programs/software that are like GarageBand…? Thanks (:
