Windows XP, add/remove software list?

My daughter tried to use her Barbie of Swan lake software but it no longer works. I was going to uninstall it and then reinstall it but on the remove software list the icon for it has a red x through it. I think it might has something to do with having to upgrade quick time? If anyone knows why this red x, please enlighten me.

Try reinstalling the program. Then UNINSTALL again.

Then reinstall afterwards

Reboot your computer in between each install/reinstall
